Kraig Pakulski / Monday, March 16, 2026 / Categories: Regions, California; Santa Barbara County Jury reaches verdict in Kouri Richins’ murder trial By Nicki Brown, CNN (CNN) — Jurors have reached a verdict in the murder trial of Kouri Richins after deliberating for roughly three hours, according to a court spokesperson. The verdict is expected to be read in court shortly. Kouri Richins is charged with aggravated murder for the 2022 death of her husband, Eric Richins. She has also been charged with attempted aggravated murder, insurance fraud and forgery. She could face up to life in prison if convicted of the most serious charge.
