Two drivers die after head-on collision Wednesday on Las Posas Road

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – On Wednesday, two drivers died after a head-on collision on Las Posas Road, south of the intersection with Laguna Road.

On March 25, around 1:24 p.m., dispatchers began to receive calls about a two-vehicle collision on Las Posas Road stated a press release from the California Highway Patrol-Ventura Area (CHP).

According to the CHP, it was determined after an investigation that a man was driving an orange Porsche Coupe northbound on Las Posas Road, south of the intersection with Laguna Road, when another man was driving southbound on Las Posas Road in a white Ford Expedition.

Evidence collected at the scene and witness statements revealed that the man driving the Expedition traveled into the northbound lanes of Las Posas Road before crashing head on with the Porsche detailed the CHP.

The driver of the Porsche suffered major injuries after the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the Ford was transported with major injuries to Los Robles Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased by medical professionals.

It is currently unknown if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the fatal collision and anyone with additional information is asked to contact the CHP's Ventura Area Office at 805-662-2640.
