(KEYT) – An 81-year-old hiker with a lower body injury was airlifted from the Tequepis Trail south of Cachuma Lake Wednesday. According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, crews were called to the scen around 12:03 p.m. and located the injured hiker two miles up the Tequepis Trail. A helicopter lowered a first responder down to asses and secure the injured 81-year-old man before he was safely hoisted back into the helicopter for transport to Cottage Hospital detailed the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
