(KEYT) – A person was transported with moderate to major injuries after a single-vehicle crash on westbound State Route 46 east of Templeton Monday. According to the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department, the patient had to be extracted from the vehicle which ended up about 200 feet off the westbound side of State Route 46. A helicopter was used to transport the patient who had moderate to major injuries after the collision added the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department. Drivers looking to use Highway 46 are warned they face delays and are being asked to use an alternate route on Highway 101 or State Route 1 added the California Highway Patrol.
