High pressure parks over southern California Tuesday bringing a sweltering heat dome with it. Expect another 5+ degree temperature jump and most areas close to 90s if not above. Daily records will easily be broken for many cities. Hydrate and practice heat safety.

The heat holds Wednesday and Thursday. These are two peak heating days and likely back to back 90 degree days in most areas. Utilize air conditioning when possible and check on those a=t risk. Minimal marine layer influce means we heat fast, look for mid 80s bvy lunch time. Plan your outdoor excusions accordinly.

We ease slightly Friday and the bigger cooling trend occurs this weekend. While may areas drop 10+ degrees the forecast still calls for low 80s and upper 70s. This will be a welcome cooling rend and more marine layer cloud influence is likely. More information to come.
