Showers Friday, downpours Saturday night: tracking California rainstorm

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - Friday will be cool and cloudy with light off-and-on showers.

A line of heavy rain cells, possibly thunderstorms, will move southeast across our region on Saturday night starting in northwest SLO County around 10pm.

Friday's light rain showers will be mostly under a quarter inch.

Saturday's storm is colder and heavier with a chance for hail and waterspouts.

System #2 will bring half inch or more with rainfall rates strong enough to cause local flooding.

Snow levels are staying above 7000 ft.

Warm and dry weather returns by Tuesday, back into the low 70s.
