Person in custody after stabbing on subway platform at Grand Central, law enforcement source says

(CNN) — A person is in custody after New York City police say a man stabbed two people on the subway platform on Saturday at Midtown Manhattan’s Grand Central Station.
The incident happened around 9:50 a.m. ET, according to a law enforcement official. Police shot the suspect, the official said.
The person is in custody and the two victims were transported to a hospital where they are expected to survive.
Police shot the suspect who entered a subway car with a machete, the source said.
The incident does not appear to be linked to terrorism at this initial stage of the investigation, according to the source.
