Daughter graduates Law School ahead of Mom

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) Graduation season has begun.

Nearly 80 students donned caps and gowns over the weekend.

The Colleges of Law in Santa Barbara held its ceremony outside at the Hilton.

Many students completed their law degrees while working or caring for families.

Trinity Lehr enrolled at age 18.

She just graduated ahead of her mother.

Trinity is one of Jennifer Lehr's eleven children.

Her husbands is Ventura attorney David Lehr.

"Amazing. Yeah, by far the best social experience, I feel like the age range and experience range was very cool to see," said Colleges of Law graduate Trinity Lehr.

"It's never too late to pursue your dreams, even though after raising 11 children, over the past 28 years, I still wanted to invest in myself," said law student Jennifer Lehr.

The Colleges of Law has campuses in Santa Barbara and Ventura.

It also has the first hybrid Juris Doctor program approved by the California State Bar at its newest Pasadena location.

The law school's goal is to make legal education and legal services more accessible, especially in under-served communities.
