Special Weather Statement issued January 4 at 4:07PM PST by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA

At 402 PM PST, Doppler radar was tracking lines of strong showers
and possible thunderstorms approaching Point Mugu in southern Ventura
county. Newbury Park, or near Thousand Oaks, moving northeast at 20
mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph.Cannot rule out a brief, weak
tornado.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations possibly impacted include…
Western Malibu…
Point Mugu State Park…
Newbury Park…
Westlake Village…
and Kanan Dume Road through the Santa Monica Mountains.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
