Man dead after train collision in Montecito

MONTECITO, Calif. (KEYT) – Montecito Fire crews helped take a man to the hospital after a train hit him near the City Sanitation District.

The man did not survive after an Amtrak train hit him just before 6:00 p.m., according to the Montecito Fire Department.

Santa Barbara Police, Santa Barbara City Fire and an AMR unit helped the MFD in the response.
