Special Weather Statement issued February 17 at 9:13PM PST by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA

At 911 PM PST, Doppler radar was tracking a gusty shower offshore
from Point Mugu, or 15 miles south of Oxnard, moving northeast at 45
mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. A brief, weak tornado possible.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Thousand Oaks…
Western Malibu…
Point Mugu State Park…
Point Dume…
Westlake Village…
and Kanan Dume Road through the Santa Monica Mountains.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
