El Clausura 2026 de la Liga MX empezará a llegar a su fin este jueves, cuando se dispute la primera de las dos finales para determinar al primer campeón del año. Serán los Pumas de la UNAM o el Cruz Azul, dos de los mejores equipos que tuvo la temporada regular, con números bastante similares.

La final de ida será con localía para la Máquina, que terminó en el tercer lugar de la tabla, mientras que la revancha llegará muy pronto: el domingo, en campo de Pumas, el mejor de la fase regular.

Cruz Azul llega en un gran momento, después de la llegada de Joel Huiqui al banco de suplentes. Con el nuevo director técnico, la Máquina suma cuatro triunfos y un empate en cinco encuentros, y viene de superar al Atlas (3-2 y 1-0) y a las Chivas (2-2 y 2-1) en las rondas de cuartos de final y semifinales.

El ganador de nueve títulos de la Liga MX tiene un estilo de juego marcado, con muchos mediocampistas de buen pie, idóneos para el juego asociado, la generación de juego y la definición. Ebere es la gran punta de lanza de Huiqui, aunque el nombre más importante es el de José Paradela, el argentino que puede asistir o convertir con la misma facilidad. La pegada de Palavecino, experto en tiros de media distancia, también es un peligro constante.

Del otro lado estará el mejor del primer semestre. Pumas lideró la tabla tras las 17 jornadas, pero desde entonces han ganado solo un partido en la liguilla. En cuartos protagonizó dos cinematográficos empates por 3-3 ante el América, donde se vio beneficiado por la ventaja deportiva de la temporada regular. En semifinales estuvo contra las cuerdas ante Pachuca, que lo venció 1-0 en la ida y tuvo un penal en los últimos minutos de la revancha para quedarse con la serie, pero lo falló. Como los de la UNAM ganaron la revancha 1-0, también avanzaron por ventaja deportiva.

Pumas tiene el ataque más potente del torneo, con 41 goles en 21 partidos. Si bien Juninho es la carta ofensiva por diseño, el jugador más peligroso de los últimos partidos es el mexicano Jordan Carrillo, quien marcó en los dos encuentros ante las Águilas y también anotó el gol salvador en semis. Carrillo suele jugar en la zona intermedia entre mediocampo y delanteros, aunque también puede jugar como volante por izquierda. Precisamente, una de las cualidades del equipo es su estilo camaleónico: no tiene un esquema definido y ajusta las piezas en el tablero según el rival. Además, tiene bajo los tres palos a una garantía: Keylor Navas.

SpaceX reveló este miércoles sus esperados planes para salir a bolsa y dio a conocer detalles sobre las finanzas y el liderazgo de una de las empresas privadas más grandes, conocidas y, al mismo tiempo, herméticas de la historia.

La compañía de cohetes y satélites de Elon Musk divulgó información que no había sido revelada previamente, incluidos los integrantes de su junta directiva, ventas, ganancias, gastos y la forma en que opera. Cotizará bajo el símbolo SPCX.

Uno de los datos que no reveló fue cuánto espera recaudar ni cuánto podría valer la empresa en lo que muchos prevén será la mayor oferta pública inicial de la historia, posiblemente por un margen de tres veces respecto de cualquier otra.

Esos detalles se conocerán más adelante, poco antes de que la compañía salga a bolsa. Mientras tanto, SpaceX presentó un informe de 277 páginas sobre uno de los negocios más ambiciosos del mundo, aunque quizá también excesivamente optimista.

En su prospecto, SpaceX describió una misión ambiciosa: “construir los sistemas y tecnologías necesarios para hacer que la vida sea multiplanetaria, comprender la verdadera naturaleza del universo y extender la luz de la conciencia hacia las estrellas”.

Para lograrlo, SpaceX señaló que continuará fabricando y lanzando rápidamente su flota de satélites para impulsar su tecnología de comunicaciones Starlink. También buscará “aprovechar el Sol para alimentar una inteligencia artificial orientada a la búsqueda de la verdad que impulse el descubrimiento científico y, en última instancia, construir una base en la Luna y ciudades en otros planetas”.

Para hacerlo, SpaceX necesitará gastar dinero. Mucho dinero. Esa es parte de la razón por la que busca financiamiento de inversionistas.

Aunque SpaceX es una empresa de rápido crecimiento, sus ambiciones superan sus ventas actuales. La compañía registró ingresos por US$ 18.700 millones el año pasado, un aumento del 33 % respecto del año anterior. Sin embargo, la empresa no obtiene ganancias. Tras registrar una utilidad de US$ 791 millones en 2024, volvió a pérdidas por US$ 4.900 millones en 2025. En 2023 perdió US$ 4.600 millones.

Es casi seguro que esas pérdidas continúen en 2026: SpaceX indicó que ya perdió US$ 4.300 millones en los primeros tres meses de este año sobre ingresos por US$ 4.700 millones.

El negocio de los cohetes es costoso, pero también lo es construir enormes cantidades de infraestructura de inteligencia artificial. SpaceX gastó US$ 20.700 millones el año pasado, la mayor parte de ellos —US$ 12.700 millones— en inteligencia artificial. La empresa destinó US$ 4.200 millones a Starlink y US$ 3.800 millones a otros proyectos espaciales, incluidos cohetes.

Ese gasto de capital casi duplicó los US$ 11.200 millones que SpaceX desembolsó en 2024 y superó ampliamente los US$ 4.400 millones invertidos en 2023.

En los primeros tres meses de este año, SpaceX ya había gastado US$ 10.100 millones, de los cuales US$ 7.700 millones fueron destinados a inteligencia artificial.

Pero SpaceX no espera perder dinero siempre. La empresa describió una enorme oportunidad potencial de ingresos que, según afirma, podría alcanzar los US$ 28,5 billones, lo que calificó como “el mercado total direccionable más grande y viable en la historia de la humanidad”.

PASO ROBLES, Calif. (KEYT) – Fire crews are on the scene of a three- to five-acre vegetation fire near the intersection of Ardmore Road and Golden Hill Road in Paso Robles Wednesday.

According to the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department, the flames are currently limited to grasses behind Paso Robles Fire Station 3 and a full fire response has been activated.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) When artists put their pastels to pavement this weekend they will be taking part in the 40th iMadonnari.

The 3-day Memorial Day Weekend event is a fundraiser for the Children's Creative Project.

CCP Program Manager Yoseline Gonzalez said its a nonprofit program of the Santa Barbara County Education Office.

"We insure that every students across the county receives quality arts education so we work with schools and school district to make sure every student receives the arts," Gonzalez.

It is the brainchild of founder Kathy Koury who credits her friend, photographer Jesse Alexander, who photographed Italian street artists in Grazie di Curtatone, Italy.

"I was trying to think of a fund raising event you know for a long time and went I saw this with artists working with chalk on the street and you could see the progression the creative process I though this perfect," said Koury.

Now iMadonarrie is a sister festival to the one in Grazie di Curtatone.

Santa Barbara's iMadonarri Festival has become the largest one in the western hemisphere.

And when it is copied they feel flattered.

The festival is made of sponsored squares that range from $300-$1200 in front of Old Mission Santa Barbara.

There is also a children's area on the side where parents can sponsor a small square for $10 dollars where their children can create works of art.

Some 150 artists artists are taking part this year including featured artist Marlon Yanes.

Most volunteer their time.

Yanes will be working in front of the Mission steps.

There is also a Super Square this year.

Sponsors include Nora and Michael McNeely Hurley, The Berryman, and the Santa Barbara County Education Office.

All the money raised will put art supplies and teachers in classrooms

It will also bring students to the Santa Barbara Bowl and other venues.

And it will bring the creative arts to school assemblies.

(CNN) — An Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda is spreading fast and presents a high risk at a national and regional level, the World Health Organization said Wednesday.

Tests show that a strain called Bundibugyo — which has no specific treatment or vaccine – is behind the outbreak.

The World Health Organization has officially declared the outbreak a “public health emergency of international concern,” but global risks remain low.

At least one American who was working in the DRC has tested positive for the virus, the international charity Serge reported. German authorities said Wednesday the affected American had been transferred to Germany for care. The US is also working to move six close high-risk contacts out of the region for monitoring and care.

Should you be worried about the spread of Ebola?

WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has laid out some especially worrying factors: that the outbreak was slow to be identified, that health care workers are among those who died, that there’s significant population movement within the outbreak area and that this is a rare strain that has no specific treatment or vaccine.

Many countries have taken steps to halt the spread of the disease, including limiting travel from the affected region, implementing travel screenings and sending resources to help control the disease.

Ebola spreads through direct contact with fluids from an infected person, such as blood or vomit. It can also spread via objects or surfaces contaminated with an infected person’s fluids or through fecal matter.

The incubation period, the time between exposure and the onset of symptoms, ranges from two to 21 days. But people are not usually infectious until they show symptoms of the disease.

How many people have died or gotten sick in the DRC?

It’s difficult to know exactly how many people are sick with Ebola.

The DRC said Wednesday that at least 148 deaths are thought to be linked to the outbreak. Only 51 cases have been officially confirmed, but 575 cases are suspected. Health officials are also tracking more than 800 contacts in the DRC.

“We have significant uncertainty about the number of infections and how far the virus has spread,” said Dr. Anne Ancia, WHO’s representative in the DRC.

How many Americans have been hit by the Ebola outbreak?

One American has tested positive for Ebola and has symptoms, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Six high-risk contacts of that American are en route to Europe for observation, the CDC said Tuesday. Five will be sent to Germany, and another will be cared for in the Czech Republic, according to the CDC.
