(CNN) — US Marshals have arrested Andrew and Tristan Tate in Miami on a sealed warrant, according to a federal law enforcement source.

CNN has reached out to the Department of Justice and an attorney representing the brothers.

They both face multiple charges, including rape and assault, the UK Crown Prosecution Service said in a statement.

Criminal charges against the brothers will be unsealed next week, the source said, and they will appear in federal court in Miami.

Andrew Tate, a US-born professional fighter-turned-influencer, is known for his rants about male dominance, female submission and wealth. At one point, the self-proclaimed misogynist was suspended from all major social media platforms.

The arrests came shortly after the UK Crown Prosecution Service charged the brothers with facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, among other charges. Police in the United Kingdom had investigated “sexual offences.”

The brothers had previously faced charges of human trafficking in Romania.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

England outlasts France in thrilling World Cup Bronze Final

Kraig Pakulski 0 2 Article rating: No rating

By Jacob Lev, CNN

(CNN) — The third place match at the 2026 World Cup appeared to be a blowout, but the tide turned in the second half, leading to a thrilling 6-4 win for England over France on Saturday in Miami Gardens, Florida.

With manager Didier Deschamps admitting before the game the French didn’t want to play, Les Bleus still trotted out some of their big hitters including Kylian Mbappé, Michael Olise and Mike Maignan, while England sat regular starters Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Jordan Pickford.

Despite the apparent lineup advantage, France found themselves in an early hole and the Three Lions continued to roar past the French as the first half went on.

England captain Declan Rice got the scoring started right out of the gate, launching a screamer from the top of the box past Maignan in just the third minute of the match.

It wasn’t long until defender Ezri Konsa headed in Rice’s corner to extend England’s lead to 2-0 in the 18th minute.

As halftime approached and France looking stunned by the English offensive onslaught, forward Bukayo Saka scored two goals within 10 minutes to officially turn the match into something no one thought would happen – an English blowout.

Or, that was, until halftime.

France made a quadruple sub to start the second half, bringing on reigning Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé along with Lucas Digne, Dayot Upamecano and Bradley Barcola to give a boost.

Just three minutes into the half, Mbappé scored his ninth goal of the tournament to overtake Argentina’s Lionel Messi for the lead in the 2026 Golden Boot race.

Minutes later, Barcola added France’s second goal to cut the lead in half to 4-2, and the chances didn’t stop there.

Mbappé scored his second goal of the game in the 66th minute, his 22nd career goal in the World Cup, breaking an earlier tie with Lionel Messi for most all-time.

Olise made some history as well after getting credited with assists on both Mbappé goals. The Bayern Munich star broke Pele’s record for most assists in a single tournament with seven.

Defense was practically non-existent from England and France throughout the game but in the second half, big scoring chances were omnipresent for both sides, requiring both Maignan and Henderson to make impressive saves.

England brought on Bellingham and Elliot Anderson to try to pad the lead, and the 23-year-old Bellingham almost obliged in the 80th minute, but the shot was saved by Maignan.

England defender Djed Spence was fouled by France’s Malo Gusto in the box minutes later, resulting in a penalty being awarded to England. Saka smashed home the penalty kick to extend England’s lead to 5-3 and became the fourth player ever to score a hat trick for England in men’s World Cup history.

But it didn’t stop there, as France clawed closer with a stoppage time goal by Dembélé to make it a one goal game.

Just two minutes later, Bellingham finally got his goal to clinch England going home with a bronze medal, the country’s best World Cup result in 60 years.

This is a breaking news story and will be updated.

Eye on the tropics, Sunday July 19th forecast

Beach sunglasses at sunset

Our recent run of hot weather is now behind us and a mostly quiet weather pattern has taken hold.  We do have to keep a close eye on the Pacific Ocean and tropical systems moving up from the south. Strong wind from Tropical Storm Elida has generated a large southerly swell which is expected to arrive by late Sunday. A High Surf Advisory will be in effect by Sunday evening which means waves could exceed 6 to 8 feet along our south facing coastline.

Look for fog and low clouds, which could be dense for some areas, to develop through the late evening and in to early Sunday. Temperatures on Sunday will be very warm inland with highs expected in the 80's to very low 90's. Coastal areas will see the morning clouds early and then should see hazy sunshine by the afternoon with highs mostly in the 70's.

Looking ahead, we will continue to see a fairly seasonal pattern through about mid week when building high pressure will warm things up again. We could see a few areas topping out close to 100 degrees before taking a slight dip on Friday and then warming again next weekend. Coastal areas will continue to see the daily routine of late night and early morning fog and mostly mild temperatures. Winds could be gusty for the Gaviota region during the late afternoon and early evening, but should stay below advisory levels. The only forecast variable next week that will need to be watched closely day to day, will be the tropical systems moving from the south. Elida, Fausto and possibly even Genvieve will drift to our south and then west all week long. We are not seeing any significant threats for rain t this time. But this will need to be monitored daily and of course, we will here in the Newschannel weather center.

ICE officer connected to fatal Maine shooting suffered 2021 head injury, which he said had left him with ‘cognitive deficits’

By Michael Williams, Curt Devine, Priscilla Alvarez, CNN

(CNN) — An Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer connected to the fatal shooting of a man in Maine this week once told a court that he suffered lingering cognitive issues after sustaining a serious head injury.

Those problems, which David Brouillette said resulted from a steel I-beam falling on his head, were so debilitating that he couldn’t complete a firefighting training course and was still feeling effects years later.

The lawsuit Brouillette filed in late 2023 against the Maine Community College System, which administered the training where he was earlier injured, said he was still “significantly impaired in his activities and in his daily living.” The suit alleged his post-concussive injuries “impaired his cognitive functioning and impaired his memory.”

Just over two years later, Brouillette was working as an ICE officer.

Brouillette, 37, was among the officers on the scene in Biddeford, Maine, on Monday after a fatal ICE shooting, according to two of his ex-wives who reviewed photos of the incident.

CNN has not independently confirmed whether Brouillette fatally shot 25-year-old Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero. Federal officials have not publicly identified who shot Durán Guerrero. The Department of Homeland Security said the officer used deadly force because he was “fearing for public safety.”

One of Brouillette’s ex-wives and one of his daughters told CNN that he contacted them days after the shooting and said that he opened fire. Both said he told them he thought the shooting was justified. Federal sources separately confirmed to CNN that he is an ICE officer.

The court filings about Brouillette’s head injury reviewed by CNN raise fresh questions about ICE’s vetting and training practices.

Durán Guerrero’s killing, the second time an ICE officer fatally shot an immigrant behind the wheel of a car in less than a week, and the fourth killing this year by federal immigration authorities, has sparked protests and demands for a transparent investigation.

Ashley Brouillette, one of his ex-wives, told CNN that he told her on a Facebook call days after the incident that he was the officer who shot Durán Guerrero. She also identified him as one of the officers seen on video at the scene after the shooting.

One of Brouillette’s daughters also said he told her he was the shooter.

A second ex-wife, Lucinda Brouillette, identified him as being on the scene after reviewing an image of two officers who were there shortly after Durán Guerrero was killed.

Brouillette did not respond to several requests for comment.

Brouillette’s two ex-wives have also accused him of abuse, according to interviews and court documents. In 2009, a child-protective caseworker wrote in a letter that Ashley Brouillette “ended her marriage to David and now admits that he was verbally and physically abusive to her.” That same year, an attorney for Ashley Brouillette wrote, “There is a history of allegations of domestic violence between the parties.”

In 2019, Brouillette’s second ex-wife, Lucinda Brouillette, filed a “complaint for protection from abuse” against him, stating that he had a history of violence. In documents, she described incidents in which she said he “pushed” past her, threatened her brother that he would “put him in the hospital” and “bumped” her with his chest.

A judge issued an order that month for David Brouillette to temporarily relinquish any firearms.

An order on the case issued in 2020 did not include a finding of abuse but prohibited David Brouillette from having contact with his second ex-wife with a few exceptions. In 2021, Lucinda Brouille
