Una semana después de que agentes del FBI catearan una vivienda en Salton City relacionada con la desaparición de T’Neya Tovar, de 17 años, regresaron a la casa el viernes pasado por la mañana y arrestaron a un individuo.

Esto ocurre después que el forense confirmó que una pierna que encontraron en Salton City era de la joven de Hemet.

Cuando los oficiales llegaron a la vivienda Abraham Feinbloom de 51 años intentó huir brincando la cerca de alambre, pero rápidamente fue capturado e interrogado por el FBI que después lo aseguró en la cárcel del Condado de Inmperial.

Ayer a las 8 de la noche estallo un incendio en el hotel Grand Hyatt ubicado por el Hwy 111 cerca de la calle El Dorado en Indian Wells, al llegar los bomberos evacuaron a 300 huéspedes de 160 habitaciones que se dañaron por el agua y un empleado que resultó herido fue transportado al hospital.

De inmediato las autoridades, la ciudad y el hotel iniciaron la búsqueda de habitaciones en otros hoteles para alojar a los afectados.

Según la investigación el fuego inició en el quinto piso del hotel y el cuarto de electricidad lo que activo las alarmas.

Un accidente automovilístico que ocurrió ayer a las 5 de la tarde acabó con la vida de un bebe que estaba por nacer, el choque fue en el área de la calle Indian Canyon y Pierson Boulevard en Desert Hot Springs, donde dos personas resultaron gravemente heridas incluyendo a la mujer embarazada quienes fueron transportadas al hospital.

El área fue cerrada por poco más de una hora mientras las ambulancias y las grúas hacían su trabajo.

La tragedia ocurrió debido a que el conductor de uno de los vehículos rebasó y chocó con el carro de la mujer.

Un aparatoso choque acabó con la vida de un ciclista en la intersección de las calles Date Palm y Ortega Road en Cathedral City.

Según los investigadores el conductor del vehículo se pasó el semáforo en rojo y atropelló al ciclista que cruzaba la calle, al llegar los paramédicos el hombre ya había muerto, mientras que el conductor del auto fue trasladado al hospital con heridas leves.

El área fue cerrada mientras la policía, paramédicos y el forense hacían su trabajo.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) Many tennis and pickleball players had hoped to play on Presidents Day, but they they were turned away at the Municipal Tennis and Pickleball Center in Santa Barbara.

Yellow tape cordoned off a large downed tree near the courts and on Old Coast Highway.

But that didn't stop some roommates who live close by.

Scott Downey and Zachary Gomez have a friendly rivalry going and were just warming up by hitting some balls back and forth until the a Parks and Recreation staff member politely told them they had to go.

Downey and Gomez said they felt cooped up at home.

They weren't alone. Some pickleball players were asked to stop their game for their own safety, too.

The gate is now locked and will remain locked until the courts can be cleaned up.

They are covered in puddles, pine needles, and branches due to storm.

The area along Old Coast Highway is prone to flooding and is now lined by some downed trees and branches.

Neighbor Patrick Diamonte came to check it out.

"We got a break in the storm and I came walking over here to check out the courts and trees were falling down and table was blowing over and then all along the Old Coast Highway, there's big trees blowing down over there, so the head of the parks department was here and locked up the gate and put the sign out for closed due to storm damage." said Diamante.

A break in the storm led to blue skies but Diamonte said it could be dangerous if the wind picks up again.

"I exercise a lot, but this was beyond thinking I would go over there and exercise, my goodness no, it was blowing like crazy over here over here," said Diamonte.

The center is public and popular with daily and yearly passes anyone can buy.
