El Mundial 2026 llegó a su fin con una ceremonia de clausura cargada de música, invitados especiales y celebridades.

El cierre de la Copa del MUndo 2026 comenzó con música por parte de IShowspeed y su tema “Champions”. El youtuber estuvo acompañado de decenas de bailarines en un escenario con forma de balón de fútbol y un campo de juego cubierto con una gran lona decorada con imágenes emblemáticas de Nueva York como el Empire State y la Estatua de la Libertad.

Más tarde, Post Malone apareció en medio de la cancha del estadio New York New Jersey para interpretar “Chrome Heartbreakers” portando un llamativo sombrero y una camiseta con la leyenda “Solo espero que los dos equipos se diviertan”. Enseguida, Swae Lee se sumó para cantar “Sunflower”, tema recordado por ser parte de la banda sonora de la película “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”. El cantante llevaba una playera en la que se leía “espero que ambos equipos se diviertan”.

Luego fue el turno del tenor estadounidense Christopher Macchio, quien le puso voz a “America the Beautiful”, con la que rindió homenaje a uno de los países anfitriones del mundial antes de darle paso a Jennifer Hudson. La artista apareció en la cancha enfundada en un conjunto blanco para cantar el himno nacional de Estados Unidos. Tras la presentación de Hudson siguieron Robbie Wlliams, Laura Pausini y Nicole Scherzinger, quienes entonaron “Desire”, el himno de la FIFA, rodeados de las banderas de las selecciones que jugaron en el torneo.

La Copa del Mundo llegó al estadio con el exfutbolista argentino Mario Kempes, acompañado por el tenista español Carlos Alcaraz y la actriz coreana HoYeon Jung, quienes presentaron el baúl que contenía el trofeo.

Más tarde, Tom Cruise dio un emotivo discurso en el que repasó la competencia, destacando que los equipos demostraron su grandeza y despertaron la esperanza entre sus seguidores. El actor agregó que el fútbol es un lenguaje sin palabras y que transforma a extraños en amigos, remarcó el trabajo de los equipos finalistas y concluyó que la historia del Mundial también le pertenece a cada aficionado. Cruise finalizó su discurso con una invitación a celebrar el torneo que reunió a todo el mundo.

Previo al inicio del partido entre España y Argentina, la banda Spanish Brass interpretó el himno de España de manera instrumental, mientras que María Becerra cantó el himno de Argentina.

La FIFA presentó por primera vez un espectáculo de medio tiempo durante una final mundialista, lo que representa un antes y un después en la historia del torneo. Madonna fue la encargada de abrir el histórico espectáculo. La cantante comenzó desde el interior del estadio para luego emerger desde un balón gigantesco mientras cantaba “Music”. La “Reina del Pop” estuvo acompañada de bailarines en patines para luego subirse a un auto estilo buggy, conducido por Ronaldo Nazario con Ronaldhino como copiloto. Madonna le cedió la batuta a Gustavo Dudamel, quien junto a su orquesta y los personajes de “The Muppets” interpretaron “Seven Nation Army” para cerrar con una de las tendencias virales del Mundial: el remo del equipo de Noruega.

BTS enseguida tomó el escenario para cantar “Dynamite” sobre un campo de juego decorado con una enorme lona de colores. El grupo presentó sus tradiciones coreografías grupales con decenas de bailarines.

Jason Sudeikis sorprendió al aparecer como su personaje del entrenador de fútbol Ted Lasso. Durante su actuación, Sudeikis sugirió que el espectáculo necesitaba un poco de “corazón”. Así le dio una indicación para saltar a la cancha a Justin Bieber. El canadiense tuvo a su cargo la parte emotiva del show y con su guitarra interpretó la balada “Everything Hallelujah”, ganándose los aplausos de los presentes.

(CNN) — Second lady Usha Vance has given birth to her fourth child, Vice President JD Vance announced Sunday.

Alec Neel Vance joins siblings Ewan, Vivek and Mirabel.

“Usha and the baby are happy and healthy, and our kids are overjoyed to meet their little brother,” the vice president said on social media, thanking the doctors and staff at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the White House Medical Unit.

Alec’s arrival marks the first time in more than 150 years that a second lady has given birth while in office.

As they settle into life as a family of six, the Vances will be spending more time in rural northern Virginia, leasing part of a sprawling, multimillion-dollar property in the wealthy enclave of Middleburg.

The rental is an effort to provide the second lady and Vance children with a greater sense of normalcy away from the scrutiny of Washington, DC, according to people familiar with the matter. The vice president is expected to stay there on occasion, though he and his family are maintaining their official residence at the Naval Observatory.

In a recent interview with ABC News, Usha Vance reflected on that scrutiny and parenting as second lady.

“Everything that we do is in the public eye,” she said, adding that “people see it” if her children misbehave or get sick.

“We try not to put them in circumstances where they’ll be exposed and someday say, ‘Oh, you embarrassed me.’ So we try to keep most of what they do private, but when we are in public with them, we just let them be kids and let what happens happen,” Vance, 40, said.

The second lady left her job as a high-powered lawyer when her husband became President Donald Trump’s second in command. She’s appeared frequently by the vice president’s side during his time in office and assembled her own small staff. Taking up childhood literacy as a platform, she launched a summer reading challenge last year and an accompanying podcast this year.

The last time a second lady had a baby while in office was in 1870, when Vice President Schuyler Colfax and his wife, Ellen Maria Colfax, welcomed Schuyler Colfax III, who went on to become the mayor of South Bend, Indiana.

VENTURA, Calif. (KEYT) – A Ventura woman was shot and killed Sunday morning and police are now investigating her death as a homicide.

The Ventura Police Department shared that the fatal incident is believed to have been an isolated incident at this point in its investigation and there is no broader threat to the community.

On July 19, around 3:24 a.m., a patrolling officer spotted an injured woman, later identified as a 34-year-old Ventura resident, near the intersection of West Ramona Street and Olive Street stated a press release Sunday from the Ventura Police Department.

The woman was gravely injured form an apparent gunshot wound and she was transported to Ventura County Medical Center where she died shortly after arrival shared the local law enforcement agency.

According to Ventura Police, as medical responders were heading to the scene, dispatchers began receiving calls reporting a shooting in the area and law enforcement personnel responded to the area to conduct an initial investigation of the incident.
