Un agente del Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE, por sus siglas en inglés) vinculado al tiroteo mortal de un hombre en Maine esta semana declaró ante un tribunal que sufría problemas cognitivos persistentes tras haber sufrido una grave lesión en la cabeza.

Esos problemas, que David Brouillette dijo que se debieron a que una viga de acero le cayó sobre la cabeza, fueron tan incapacitantes que no pudo completar un curso de formación para bomberos y seguía sintiendo los efectos años después.

La demanda que Brouillette presentó a finales de 2023 contra el Sistema de Colegios Comunitarios de Maine, que administraba la capacitación donde se lesionó anteriormente, decía que aún estaba “significativamente afectado en sus actividades y en su vida diaria”. La demanda alegaba que sus lesiones posconmocionales “afectaron su funcionamiento cognitivo y su memoria”.

Poco más de dos años después, Brouillette trabajaba como agente de ICE.

Brouillette, de 37 años, estuvo entre los agentes presentes en Biddeford, Maine, el lunes tras un tiroteo mortal de ICE, de acuerdo con dos de sus exesposas que revisaron fotos del incidente.

CNN no ha confirmado de manera independiente si Brouillette disparó mortalmente contra Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero, de 25 años. Las autoridades federales no han identificado públicamente quién disparó a Durán Guerrero. El Departamento de Seguridad Nacional dijo que el agente usó fuerza letal porque “temía por la seguridad pública”.

Una de las exesposas de Brouillette y una de sus hijas dijeron a CNN que él se comunicó con ellas días después del tiroteo y dijo que disparó. Ambas afirmaron que les comentó que pensaba que el tiroteo estaba justificado. Fuentes federales confirmaron por separado a CNN que es un agente de ICE.

Ashley Brouillette, una de sus exesposas, dijo a CNN que él le dijo en una llamada por Facebook días después del incidente que era el agente que disparó a Durán Guerrero. También lo identificó como uno de los agentes vistos en video en el lugar después del tiroteo.

Una de las hijas de Brouillette también dijo que él le comentó que fue quien disparó.

Una segunda exesposa, Lucinda Brouillette, lo identificó como presente en el lugar tras revisar una imagen de dos agentes que estaban allí poco después de que Durán Guerrero fuera asesinado.

Brouillette no respondió a varias solicitudes de comentario.

Las dos exesposas de Brouillette también lo han acusado de abuso, según entrevistas y documentos judiciales. (CNN) — US Marshals have arrested Andrew and Tristan Tate in Miami on a sealed warrant, according to a federal law enforcement source.

CNN has reached out to the Department of Justice and an attorney representing the brothers.

They both face multiple charges, including rape and assault, the UK Crown Prosecution Service said in a statement.

Criminal charges against the brothers will be unsealed next week, the source said, and they will appear in federal court in Miami.

Andrew Tate, a US-born professional fighter-turned-influencer, is known for his rants about male dominance, female submission and wealth. At one point, the self-proclaimed misogynist was suspended from all major social media platforms.

The arrests came shortly after the UK Crown Prosecution Service charged the brothers with facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, among other charges. Police in the United Kingdom had investigated “sexual offences.”

The brothers had previously faced charges of human trafficking in Romania.

(CNN) — The third place match at the 2026 World Cup appeared to be a blowout, but the tide turned in the second half, leading to a thrilling 6-4 win for England over France on Saturday in Miami Gardens, Florida.

With manager Didier Deschamps admitting before the game the French didn’t want to play, Les Bleus still trotted out some of their big hitters including Kylian Mbappé, Michael Olise and Mike Maignan, while England sat regular starters Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Jordan Pickford.

Despite the apparent lineup advantage, France found themselves in an early hole and the Three Lions continued to roar past the French as the first half went on.

England captain Declan Rice got the scoring started right out of the gate, launching a screamer from the top of the box past Maignan in just the third minute of the match.

It wasn’t long until defender Ezri Konsa headed in Rice’s corner to extend England’s lead to 2-0 in the 18th minute.

As halftime approached and France looking stunned by the English offensive onslaught, forward Bukayo Saka scored two goals within 10 minutes to officially turn the match into something no one thought would happen – an English blowout.

Or, that was, until halftime.

France made a quadruple sub to start the second half, bringing on reigning Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé along with Lucas Digne, Dayot Upamecano and Bradley Barcola to give a boost.

Just three minutes into the half, Mbappé scored his ninth goal of the tournament to overtake Argentina’s Lionel Messi for the lead in the 2026 Golden Boot race.

Minutes later, Barcola added France’s second goal to cut the lead in half to 4-2, and the chances didn’t stop there.

Mbappé scored his second goal of the game in the 66th minute, his 22nd career goal in the World Cup, breaking an earlier tie with Lionel Messi for most all-time.

Olise made some history as well after getting credited with assists on both Mbappé goals. The Bayern Munich star broke Pele’s record for most assists in a single tournament with seven.

Defense was practically non-existent from England and France throughout the game but in the second half, big scoring chances were omnipresent for both sides, requiring both Maignan and Henderson to make impressive saves.

England brought on Bellingham and Elliot Anderson to try to pad the lead, and the 23-year-old Bellingham almost obliged in the 80th minute, but the shot was saved by Maignan.

England defender Djed Spence was fouled by France’s Malo Gusto in the box minutes later, resulting in a penalty being awarded to England. Saka smashed home the penalty kick to extend England’s lead to 5-3 and became the fourth player ever to score a hat trick for England in men’s World Cup history.

But it didn’t stop there, as France clawed closer with a stoppage time goal by Dembélé to make it a one goal game.

Just two minutes later, Bellingham finally got his goal to clinch England going home with a bronze medal, the country’s best World Cup result in 60 years.
