MEXICALI, Mexico (KYMA) – Este miércoles, en conferencia matutina la gobernadora Marina del Pilar, acusó al ex gobernador, Jaime Bonilla de tenderle una trampa donde se había simulado comunicación con presuntos asesores del FBI para aclarar la revocación de su visa.

“Me ofreció reunirse con personas de Estados Unidos para platicar con el tema relacionado con mi visa. confié de buena fe en antecesor y tuve esa reunión de la cual se han difundido fragmentos. Hoy queda claro para todos, que fue una trampa” dijo la morenista.

Apenas este lunes, nuevos fragmentos de una conversación fueron difundidos por el diario nacional mexicano “El Universal”, donde se escucha a la gobernadora dispuesta a apoyar con presuntos asesores con información de seguridad del estado, por lo que desde la oposición se le ha acusado de traición a la patria, al acceder a compartir información confidencial por mejorar su relación con Estados Unidos.

“Es increíble que haya sucedido eso cuando se han cantado hasta canciones de venganza, uno al otro, cómo confías en una persona si me parece totalmente irrelevante y falta de responsabilidad la respuesta que dio la gobernadora” dijo Liz Mata, quién es dirigente estatal del PAN, manifestó que además junto con la diputada federal Eva María, buscarán promover un juicio politico ya que se no se trata de un tema menor.

“Exigimos, seriedad y responsabilidad en los cargos lo que hoy vemos es irresponsabilidad, irresponsabilidad, te ignorancia y una falta de atención a los baja californianos” dijo la dirigente.

Fue en mayo del 2025, cuando la visa de la gobernadora fue revocada, a pesar de que se ha mencionado razones que corresponden a investigación por parte de Estados Unidos, oficialmente, el gobierno no ha emitido públicamente señalamientos.

(CNN) — More than 100 Democrats voted to block billions of dollars in military aid to Israel — an ultimately unsuccessful effort that highlighted the growing division in their party on the issue.

On Wednesday 103 Democrats voted in support of an amendment to block aid that had been proposed by GOP Rep. Thomas Massie, a persistent critic of President Donald Trump who has been skeptical of US support for Israel. One Republican also signed on. But the measure ultimately failed 104-314. 98 Democrats voted against it and 10 voted present, meaning they did not weigh in on the issue.

Even the top three lawmakers in House Democratic leadership split on the issue. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and House Democratic Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar voted against it, while House Minority Whip Katherine Clark voted for it.

Knowing that their caucus would be divided on the issue, House Democratic leadership intentionally did not whip ahead of the vote, and Jeffries instead encouraged members to vote their conscience. For weeks, Democratic lawmakers have been meeting privately to have “family discussions,” as multiple members described it, about how to approach the vote.

Even Democrats who voted for Massie’s amendment, like Clark, argued it was deeply flawed because it also blocked humanitarian funding for Palestinian refugees and civilians in Gaza. Some argued the measure was designed to drive a wedge among Democrats.

“This is not an attempt to have a serious and necessary debate about offensive military aid to Israel. It’s more stunts from Congressional Republicans who would rather score cheap political points than lead,” Clark said in a statement announcing her vote. “However, it is clear that the status quo is not tenable. We should not provide a blank check for military aid to any country that does not comply with U.S. law, interests, and values.”

Some Democrats sought to downplay the divisive vote and pin the issue back on Republicans.

“We’ve allowed ourselves to tie ourselves up in knots about something that was never, ever going to advance anyway. But to Hakeem’s credit, he said vote your conscience,” Democratic Rep. Mark Pocan, who voted against the measure, told CNN.

But this vote also signals that the ground is shifting for House Democrats as the party grapples with its position on US foreign policy towards Israel. Many on the left are demanding a dramatic change in course.

“There is a tremendous pent-up desire among most Democrats to signal a change in policy towards Israel and in the region,” said Democratic Rep. Jared Huffman, who voted present, meaning he did not take an official position on the matter. “For many of my colleagues this Massie amendment is an appropriate vehicle to make that statement.”

(CNN) — President Donald Trump has been receiving options for expanding the military operation in Iran, according to two people familiar with the matter, including during a Situation Room meeting on Tuesday that centered on ways to intensify efforts to loosen Iran’s grip on the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump has publicly said he intends to strike Iran harder over the coming week, including threats on civilian infrastructure and potentially energy targets. Behind the scenes, he has been discussing various scenarios for future military action with senior officials, hoping to identify ways to pressure Iran into submitting to US demands after existing efforts have failed to bring Tehran to heel.

Over the past five days, the US has carried out daily strikes on Iranian positions along the Strait of Hormuz, including Wednesday on tiny Greater Tunb Island in the Strait of Hormuz, which has acted as a base for the Iranian military.

Officials said the strikes are intended to degrade Iran’s ability to prevent commercial vessels from transiting the waterway. But destroying targets like missile launchers and radars could also lay the groundwork for the larger US military operations Trump has been mulling, officials said.

According to the two officials, Trump is now weighing an operation to take Kharg Island, the critical Iranian export hub, and to bomb underground complexes at Pickaxe Mountain, believed to be connected to Iran’s nuclear program.

He affirmed his interest in both targets during interviews this week, though he suggested a ground operation to take Kharg may fall to another country.

“We have other people that will do the ground campaign for us,” he said on Fox News, without explaining further.

Trump has previously offered public and private indications he’s ready to escalate, only to back off. But he has grown frustrated that Iran is not capitulating on his nuclear red lines and continues to restrict traffic through the strait.

The president has oscillated between casting doubt on Iran’s willingness to negotiate a deal and claiming Tehran was prepared to return to the bargaining table.

“They want to settle so badly. They don’t like what we’re doing, and they do want to settle. We’ll find out whether or not we settle with them, or we just finish it off,” he said Wednesday at a defense industry event in Pennsylvania.

A week ago, Trump offered a different viewpoint, claiming it was a “waste of time” to continue talking to Iran.

Speaking in a three-hour interview with Joe Rogan on Tuesday, Vice President JD Vance — the administration’s lead negotiator with Iran — said the war will not be won through military force alone.

“You can bomb them, you can take away their radar, you can take away some of their drones and some of their missiles, but it’s just too easy to fire at ships in the straits,” he said. “So you’ve got to actually be willing to talk and to try to figure out the problem.”

Los ejecutivos involucrados en el acuerdo pendiente entre Paramount y Warner Bros. Discovery esperan que un juez ponga en pausa el plan de adquisición en los próximos días.

Oficialmente, es difícil prever la reacción del tribunal ante la solicitud de 12 fiscales generales estatales de una orden de restricción temporal (TRO).

Extraoficialmente, personas cercanas al asunto anticipan que se otorgará la TRO, lo que pondrá la megafusión en suspensión por dos o tres semanas.

Esas personas, que pidieron el anonimato para hablar abiertamente sobre la situación, siguen confiando en que Paramount prevalecerá al final. “El acuerdo se concretará de una forma u otra”, dijo uno de los ejecutivos.

Pero la perspectiva anterior de que Paramount podría tomar el control de Warner la próxima prácticamente se extinguió por la acción de los fiscales generales estatales.
